 President Obama

Today is September 9, 2009.

It’s the day after dooms day, the day after a hideous communist plot.

No, it’s the day after  President Obama addressed the Nation’s school children.

Can any of the nay-sayers out there tell me what, exactly, did the President say to the children that would be construed as “indoctrination”?

Was it – “All he’s telling them is to go to school, stay in school, work hard, and you can be whatever you want to be, but it’s going to take an education to get there.”

or

“Here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future.”

Can any of you give an honest answer? Can someone, anyone, out there in cyberspace give logical reasons for this absurd controversy?

I completely agree with Jason Linkins [HuffPost]:

“I’m similarly taken aback at those who wistfully opine that all of this is more sad evidence of the “polarization” of American politics. Now, certainly, the political discourse is, at times, highly polarized. But hey, you want to know a quick and easy way to polarize a discussion? Allow the yelpings of a bunch of insane people to occupy one of the poles!”

You might as well,  if you keep along your current parenting path, your children will not be able to sound out words longer than two syllables — let alone understand them in a sentence.
